Summary Description
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst to support a federal client in assessing, analyzing, and improving an existing Salesforce environment. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, Salesforce architects, administrators, and technical teams to gather requirements, document current-state and future-state processes, and support modernization and optimization initiatives across the Salesforce platform. The Business Analyst will facilitate discovery activities, analyze business workflows, identify operational and functional gaps, and help translate business needs into actionable user stories and solution recommendations. The ideal candidate has strong business analysis expertise, Salesforce platform knowledge, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting complex enterprise or federal environments.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, process maps, and user stories.
- Analyze existing Salesforce business processes, configurations, reporting, automation, and user experience.
- Support assessment activities related to GAO audit findings, compliance requirements, and operational risks.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Solution Architects, administrators, developers, and program leadership to define solution recommendations.
- Assist with backlog management, prioritization activities, and roadmap planning.
- Facilitate communication and alignment between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Develop business process documentation, executive summaries, presentations, and status reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reporting, data quality, governance, automation, and user adoption.
- Support testing, validation, change management, training, and user adoption efforts as needed
- Conduct discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, and workshops with business and technical teams.
Qualifications (Minimum)
- 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst or related business systems analyst role.
- Experience conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, requirements gathering, and discovery sessions.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Service Cloud, Lightning Experience, workflows/automation, reports, dashboards, profiles/permissions, and data management.
- Experience creating and documenting business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and process flow diagrams.
- Ability to analyze business processes and identify functional gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Experience supporting Agile delivery methodologies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning activities and release lifecycles.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Experience collaborating with architects, developers, administrators, testers, and executive stakeholders.
- Familiarity with governance, developers, administrators, testers, and executive stakeholders.
- Familiarity with governance, compliance, audit, and risk management activities within enterprise environments.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex organization.
- Strong understanding of the future of AI Agents and data as it applies to the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain a federal government clearance (Public Trust).
Qualifications (Preferred)

- Experience supporting federal government agencies or public sector organizations.
- Familiarity with GAO audits, federal compliance standards, or oversight processes.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Business Analyst, Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Service Cloud Consultant.
- Experience supporting Salesforce modernization and migration initiatives.
- Knowledge of Agile tools and product backlog management practices.
- Experience with data governance, reporting strategy, and Salesforce integrations.
- Familiarity with DevOps and release management practices within Salesforce environments.
- Experience supporting user training, organizational change management, and adoption initiatives
