OmniSolve is hiring for a full-time Senior Agile Coach to join our growing Agile Consulting Practice. As with all of our positions, we are seeking independent thinkers with exceptional communications skills both written and oral. This position demands a deep understanding of business IT strategy and technology solutions; excellent project management; business analysis; Agile Methodology processes, practices, and frameworks; excellent communications; and ability to navigate through ambiguity and change. The Senior Agile Coach will join a technical strategy team using Agile principles to translate business needs and insights into actionable IT strategy and drive these initiatives and projects throughout the entire IT organization of a major government agency. In this role, the consultant will serve both executive and assigned project teams, and interface regularly with developers, stakeholders, and senior IT leadership.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities Include
  • Design or select an overall Agile framework for IDT based on the organization’s operational goals;
  • Lead the iterative implementation of the framework by assessing the current state, measuring it against the future state, and addressing the resulting gaps;
  • Coach IDT teams on the requisite mindset shift from mere ‘asset management’ to delivering an effective, Agile, ‘total customer experience’ as it relates to IDTs delivery.
  • Identify and track overall IDT metrics with respect to delivery, velocity, customer satisfaction, and/or others as necessary;
  • Design and build IDT’s product management framework and product enhancement pipeline;
  • Build and manage an overall communications strategy for alignment between IDT divisions;
  • Assist in the mapping of all IDT services and establishment of clear definitions around those service offerings;
  • Manage collective workflow of all projects/products through the framework upon its initiation, and manage WIP limits if applicable;
  • Select and implement a project management tool suite appropriate for the IDT organization;
  • Maintain a collective IDT resource board or boards in the selected tool encompassing all IDT divisions, as dictated by the framework; and
  • Selectively coach individual teams on the chosen framework, as needed.
The candidate must:
  • 7-10 years of experience in Agile organizational transformations, project management, Agile, Coaching teams, managers and executives.
  • 4+ years of implementing Agile Methodologies and Frameworks and standing up multiple teams within a Program.
  • 2+ years experience coaching and mentoring at the Program level and various leaders within the organization.
  • Outstanding training, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain productive working relationships with a wide variety of teams and leaders.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience guiding the development of Feature Maps, Story Maps, and Agile Roadmaps.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise working with SCRUM, KANBAN or SCRUMBAN, and assessing maturity of Agile teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to independently prepare and distribute important communication to various audiences.
  • Knowledge of scaling frameworks (e.g., Scrum of Scrums, SaFE, LeSS, and DaD).
  • Knowledge and experience with cultural and organizational change.
  • Successful experience presenting to senior level executives.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • General understanding of technology infrastructure (networks, servers, VMs, middleware, database, storage, etc.).
  • Ability to understand and translate technical concepts into non technical terms.
  • Experience with tools to manage backlogs and Sprints such as Jira, VersionOne, AgileCraft, etc.
  • Stays current in the Agile space as exemplified by ongoing education in Agile frameworks training, conference attendance, user group participation, and self-study.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC 4/5), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified Agile Coach (CAC, ICP-ACC or equivalent)

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

  • Experience doing TDD, DevOps, DevSecOps
  • Experience with Zero-based design (Design Thinking) and Customer Experience (CX) / Journey Mapping.
  • Experience/knowledge Cloud architectures such as IaaS, PaaS, SECaaS.
  • Experience with teams moving applications to the Cloud.
  • Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure would be a plus.
  • Industry certification in cloud technologies.
  • Experience managing large technology projects and DevOps.
  • Experience with federal clients.
